Register or login or click the ‘Forgot your password?’ link as relevant. 


After login for the FIRST TIME

          • On top right, under your username, click “View profile”
          • Under “Roles”, choose “Author”
          • Save
          • On the left panel click “Submissions”
          • Click “New Submissions” 
          • Start submission following the guide below

1. Start
          • Select the appropriate section
          • Agree to all submission requirements
          • Enter a cover letter in ‘Comments for the Editor’.
          • Also, suggest three potential reviewers along with full affiliation and email addresses.
          • Acknowledge the copyright and privacy statements
          • Save and Continue

2 a. For manuscripts WITH figures and/or supplementary files
           • Select article component. Always select "Article text" first
           • Select the file from your computer and upload
           • Ensure that this a single Microsoft Word document including figures
           • Continue
           • Continue
           • Add another file
           • Upload the first figure, high resolution TIFF image. separately
           • Continue
           • In the Caption box, enter the figure number (e.g. Figure 1). Ignore other boxes
           • Continue
           • Repeat the "Add another file" until all figures have been uploaded separately
           • If relevant. upload supplementary files
           • Once done, click ‘complete’
           • Save and Continue; Go to step 3 below "Enter Metadata"

2 b. For manuscripts WITHOUT  figures and/or supplementary files
           • Select article component (Article text)
           • Select the file from your computer and upload
           • Ensure that this a single Microsoft Word document 
           • Continue
           • Continue
           • Complete; Go to step 3 below "Enter Metadata"

3. Enter Metadata
           • Ignore the Prefix column
           • Enter the title of manuscript. This can be copied from the manuscript
           • Ignore the subtitle column
           • Enter the abstract; this can be copied from the manuscript
           • Add contributors in the order they appear in the manuscript
           • Enter all relevant data
           • Save
           • Continue to add all authors
           • After entering all authors, if you wish to rearrange the order of authors, click ‘order’
           • Arrange the order by dragging the names up or down
           • Once ordering is complete, click ‘done’
           • Enter five keywords in alphabetical order, followed by semi-colon
           • Fill in OpenAIRE ProjectID, if relevant
           • Save and Continue

4. Confirmation
           • Finish submission
           • Confirm submission
